(Leaf, 2005)The debut of the Copenhagen-based collective Efterklang (reverberation, or perhaps echo) called Tripper is simply beautiful. They combine glitch electronica with epic-sound strings and wonderful etheric vocals in atmospheric, cinematic and very delicate music. Immediate comparations come to mind: múm and especially Björk and Matmos because of clicks 'n' cuts sounds but I rather like my own term "microbeats" ;-).
This is headphone album for calm and silent nights.
