RADIOHEAD - IN RAINBOWS (and I know this is album of the year!)

A couple minutes ago my good friend told me that new Radiohead release is OUT! Thanks a lot, Zputnik! ;-)

So new album is entitled In Rainbows and was out from 10th October only via own Radiohead e-shop! Download or pre-order at www.inrainbows.com.

Frontman Thom Yorke said about lyrics concept of album: "It's about that anonymous fear thing, sitting in traffic, thinking, 'I'm sure I'm supposed to be doing something else'... it's similar to OK Computer in a way. It's much more terrifying. But OK Computer was terrifying too - some of the lyrics were."

It is reported that a standard CD version of the album is to be released in early 2008, though this has not been officially confirmed by Radiohead. A special "discbox" will begin being dispatched on or before December 3, 2007 if pre-ordered, through their inrainbows.com website, and will contain the physical album on both CD and two 12" heavyweight vinyl records with made-to-order artwork and lyric booklets. The discbox will also include a second enhanced CD which contains 8 additional tracks, as well as digital photos and artwork. The overall set will be packaged in a hardcover book and slipcase.

While the discbox, which includes the MP3 download, is priced at £40 (about $80 U.S.), the price of download by itself is left up to the buyer. Upon purchase, the buyer is prompted to type their desired price, plus a credit card transaction fee of 45 pence if purchased for more than £0.00.
